Welcome to the online home of the Indianapolis Association of Black Journalists (IABJ), a nonprofit organization that has served African-American journalists for nearly 20 years. IABJ is Indiana’s most prominent group of veteran, young and aspiring black journalists. Our national organization (NABJ) strives to unite Black journalists dedicated to excellence and diversity in news coverage, and full equality in the industry.

OUR MISSION: The Indianapolis Association of Black Journalists serves as an advocate for Black journalists and for fair and equitable media coverage of the Black community, to promote career growth and development of media professionals, and to cultivate and nurture Black students pursuing journalism and media-related fields.
