IABJ awards scholarships yearly to Indiana students (graduating high school seniors through college seniors) who are pursuing careers in journalism and media full-time at accredited colleges or universities. IABJ awards two (2) scholarships of up to $1,000 each to students concentrating on print and broadcast (tv/radio) careers, respectively. IABJ also awards one (1) scholarship in partnership with the Lauren Crowner Heart of Gold Foundation of up to $500 to a student who is also studying to pursue a career in the media and communications. This scholarship is also open to students who are majoring in communications-related disciplines such as public relations.
